I don't know how I feel about some of my favorite characters getting such drastic makeovers to make them relevant to today's kids. Read the New York Times' article on facelifts for Strawberry, Bugs Bunny and maybe even Mickey Mouse! You know you're getting old when you're saying things like, "Back in my day, Strawberry Shortcake didn't need to be chatting on a cellphone." That said, some of my fondest childhood memories are of playing with Strawberry and her sweet scented friends.

I really don't agree with the makeovers. Let today's children have their own icons. Leave ours alone!
I guess I'm just old school when it comes to certain things!
